British Superbike favourite and familiar Kawasaki rider Simon Andrews will contend the 2011 BSB EVO Championship on the green and white Kawasaki ZX-10R of Liverpool-based BSB team, PR Racing. After signing a deal with Kawasaki Motors UK at the end of last year, the team was keen to sign a pedigree rider such as Andrews to fulfill their ambitions for the 2011 season.
On the signing, team Development Director, Julian Mosquera said, "It is absolutely fantastic that we have secured a rider of Simon's calibre. Given where BSB is going technically, it is a great opportunity for PR Racing and Kawasaki Motors UK. As a team, we are really excited at the opportunities and expectations for the season ahead, and cannot wait for the Easter weekend and the first round at Brands Hatch."
Andrews added, "I am really looking forward to being back on a Kawasaki for the third year running. This year's EVO looks like being a very competitive championship and with the team's backing from Kawasaki Motors UK, I believe that the combination of the new Ninja ZX-10R and my experience on the bike will make us strong contenders from the off."
